We usually use our blog to advise on investments and to help you save for the future. However, today Global Investment Solutions feel that for one day of the year we should use our blog to remember those who have fought and died to allow us to have a future. And those who are currently serving our countries to enable our children to have a future.

Thank you to all those that serve our countries and thank you to all those that have made the biggest sacrifice to enable us the freedom to live happy lives.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
