We usually use our blog to advise on investments and to help you save for the future. However, today Global Investment Solutions feel that for one day of the year we should use our blog to remember those who have fought and died to allow us to have a future. I am finding the headlines irritating lately – It is quite rare that any good financial news is reported; even Apple’s shares are down.

I have come across this statement many times over the past 6 months. It does seem like a good idea doesn’t it? I mean banks are safe? They are reliable aren’t they? If I have enough savings, the interest rates will be good enough to earn me a little bit of money on my savings?
