Well another week another dollar!
I am sure many will be happy to see the back end of this week, and get started on their weekend? For a Friday I had thought I would provide some easy reading. Maybe get you excited about planning a city break!

Is anyone headed out for a City Break this weekend? It is part of my New Years Resolution to travel to a new city once a month – so this weekend I had better get planning. I find these types of trips are not only a great way to let your hair down, but also investigate property markets elsewhere. Whenever I am in a new city – I always look in the windows, and pop into various real estate agents. I like to see what’s on offer, how the markets are doing and the various price points for properties. Real Estate always does well in major city centers.
Ever thought of what the top 10 City Breaks are globally? A few are easy; a few surprised me?
- Paris. Of course Paris. It is and I think forever will be at the top of the list of travel destinations. A beautiful enchanting romantic city of lovers that often occupies people’s top ten list of their favorite destinations. The magical opulence and grandeur of the city will leave you wanting more, even long after they have left.
- New York – The city that never sleeps, and the city of the yellow cab. This city really does have it all; lush green parks, a familiar and impressive skyline, top dining, shopping, and shows. However no matter how frenetic and lively the city may be, every visitor can always find their own tranquil haven in the middle of it all.
- Dubai – This is a city where extravagance is an understatement, and everything is over the top. Dubai is home to the Burj Al Arab Hotel – the worlds only 7 Star hotel. Dubai is also very popular with Europeans for the year round warm temperatures.
- Rome – I would love to be a roman! Rome is full of iconic sights that must be explored and discovered at least once during ones lifetime. Whether its art, architecture, or food and wine, all travelers will find a passion here. I can not think of a better way to end a day of exploring ancient ruins watching the sun set with a glass of wine in hand.
- Prague – The city of 100 spires. A city steeped in history which can be found around every corner. Prague is a personal favorite of mine – magical and emotional! Love Love Love Prague – from its beautiful Christmas market, and impressive street food. It’s very easy to eat your way through this wonderful city.
- Dublin - A glass of Guinness anyone? Dublin has become famous for not only its stout, but it buzzing nightlife.
- Venice – You can not go to Venice and not indulge in the ultimate tourist experience of a gondola ride complete with serenade. Venice is known for its Labyrinthine streets and canals, delicious restaurants, and of course for being fashionably expensive. Venice is a must for any high flyer!
- Berlin – Popular for its turbulent past; most people travel to Berlin to experience its history. Berlin also is popular its arts and cultural scene.
- Athens – At 3,500 years, Athens is one of the oldest cities. This is a treasure trove of history and culture. With the Parthenon, many UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and the Acropolis you wont be disappointed, or you can simply sit in a street side café and watch the world go by.
- Madrid – Madrid is both the capital and largest city in Spain. With a Royal Palace, loads of tapas, flamenco, Bernabéu, and endless museums and bullrings Madrid is a vibrant city with something for everyone! Me encanta España.
What are your favorites? Any others I should add to the list?

Happy Friday and we will be back Monday.
